There are several student organizations, 校园活动, and research and internship opportunities open to students and members of the 赌博娱乐平台网址大全 community who desire to learn more about the environment and act to protect it.

Eco盟友 is 赌博娱乐平台网址大全 University's environmental organization, dedicated to sustainability on campus and in the local community. It puts on many events throughout the year, encourages sustainability and recycling on campus, and coordinates sustainability-related volunteer opportunities in the 圣安东尼奥 area.

Students Gardening
社区花园

The entire campus community is welcomed to participate and help grow the garden. Students can partake in tending the garden by either volunteering or registering for a one credit-hour, student-led course centered around community gardening.

EcoStop

EcoStop is an opportunity for the Office of the University Architect to share the latest sustainability news and information with the campus community. Student assistants and 工作人员 will be present to help answer your sustainability-related questions.

When Can I Participate?

Watch for our information table in the Coates Center and Mabee Dining Hall at various times during September and October.

校园交换

校园交换 is an event that provides an opportunity for faculty, 工作人员, and students to bring items they no longer want and find "new" treasures to keep. The event is 工作人员ed by volunteers from Eco盟友 and Alpha Phi Omega.

When Can I Participate?

There is one 校园交换 event per semester, usually in the last month of the semester. Keep an eye out for event flyers as the end of the semester approaches for specifics and accepted items.

 


    Learning Beyond the Classroom

    Students involved in the environmental studies program benefit from the ability to enrich their studies with experiential learning opportunities, such as:

    • research presentations at regional and national conferences
    • internships with city and state governments, local volunteer organizations, and both public and private institutions
